Description
BACH Cantatas 35-38 Volume 40 Box set of 2LP's with 3 booklets on earliest 1987 German Telefunken Direct Metal Master, Digital. By this time the DMM's have more bass to them, the early 80s ones are less well mastered, as it was new technology, by this time the sound is far better. If you have a line contact or better than elliptical stylus you will get the most out of these. Leonhardt leads the Consort named after him, and the Hannover Boys Choir. For the fans of boy treble soloist there are several employed across the various cantatas, the great Alan Bergius, plus Gienger, & Wittek. Near Mint records in an excellent box with near mint booklets. For me, the complete recording that this is a volume of is the greatest achievement of the recording era. There are other boxes in our listings. We pack carefully.
