Description

Beautiful copy of the original 1960 stereo pressing of Glenn Gould’s recording of Bach’s Italian Concerto in F, and Partitas 1 & 2, on Columbia LP MS-6141. Original 6-Eye labels and plastic Columbia inner sleeve. After his all-time classic recording of Bach’s Goldberg Variations, this is quite possibly his greatest performance… depending on who you ask, I suppose. But many would rank this one number two. And this copy really shows why that is. The disc is very nearly perfectly mint and plays absolutely flawlessly and just beautifully. Truly an incredible sounding copy. The cover has a bit of general shelfwear, with a faint ring and some light edge and corner wear. The most wear is at the top edge, where there is a small 1 1/2” seam split. A few little nicks on the right edge, and some signs of gentle use, but really overall just a beautiful cover as well. This is a top original copy that sounds incredible. Hard to beat.
