Johann Sebastian BACH: St. Matthew Passion - Matthäuspassion - Passio secundum Matthaeum

Highly acclaimed reference performance by Karl Richter conducting the Munich Bach Orchestra and Chorus recorded in summer 1958 at the Munich Herkules-Saal with true audiophile soundquality.

Featuring Irmgard Seefried, Ernst Haefliger, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Herta Topper, Antonie Fahberg... and many more. From the collection of a former WDR - West German State Radio senior executive.

ARCHIV PRODUKTION APM 14125/28, 4 (FOUR) LPs in linen Box, Mono, 1st Edition, made in Germany, 1958. With 38-page libretto in English, German and French.

The box is in EX condition, due to corner-wear and some discoloration of the linen. The vinyl of all four records and the labels are also in EX condition.

My grading: MINT (M), NEAR MINT (NM), EXCELLENT (EX), VERY GOOD (VG).

For grading I check all records under strong halogen light and play-grade parts of the records on a Linn Sondek LP 12 stereo record player. All records are cleaned on a new VPI 17.
