Description

Up for your consideration here is Bach's complete suites for unaccompanied cello performed by Janos Starker and issued on the Mercury Golden Imports label, catalog # SRI 3-77002. The LPs are beautiful NM except for a few dimples (or vinyl bubbles) on sides 3 and 4 that cause some low level "heartbeat" thumps. The first time I heard them, I thought it was Janos thumping his cello...LOL. Obviously, I would prefer one without those couple of dimples, but I didn't find the sound distracting. And these Golden Import pressings play so dead quiet, I definitely prefer these to the very expensive original Mercurys. The booklet is nice and clean. The outer box is VG/VG-, mainly because of the tear on the back at top left.
