In May 1970, Track records launched the budget Backtrack series priced at 99p. Some 14 albums in total a mixture of various artists’ albums and re-releases. The first six featured a young boy smoking something illegal on the front cover. All came in different colour variant. From seven onwards it was a plain sleeve, with the picture reduced to a sort of logo. The series carried the catalogue numbers 2407-001 to 014.

A chance to acquire the complete Back Track series 1-14. They will be sold off in packs of three. Sleeve: Non-laminated card sleeve. Age related handling, general wear, edge/spine rub (see photos). Graded VG.  Labels: Classic Black label with boxed Track Records logo in silver. No writing, light spindle marks from low play, strong VG+. Vinyl: lays flat, retains a gloss, closer inspection shows light hairlines only, graded VG+. Audio: Both sides play through with no major issues, no skips, sticks, pips or pops.  Clean audio EX-.

Sleeve: Non-laminated stiff card sleeve, fully readable spine, light age-related handling normal for non-laminated sleeve VG (see photos).  Labels: Classic Black label with boxed Track Records logo silver writing. Nice condition, low play, graded EX. Vinyl: lays flat, retains a gloss, closer inspection just a few extremely feint hairlines only, graded EX-. Comes in new polylined inner. Audio: Both sides play through with no major issues, no skips, sticks, pips or pops. Nice clean audio, strong EX-.

Graded strong VG+/EX-.  Labels: Classic Black label with boxed Track Records logo in silver. No writing/sticker residue, light spindle marks from low play VG+. Vinyl: lays flat, retains a gloss, closer inspection shows just a few light hairlines, nothing that effects play, graded EX-. Audio: Both sides play through with no major issues, no skips, sticks, pips or pops. Nice clean audio, graded EX

I use Royal Mail 48hr Tracked and usually post within 24 hours.

I have tried to be honest and transparent in my description; the photographs form part of the description. Questions are welcome, don't hesitate to ask. The few records I sell are either the results of upgrades, duplicates or a bit of thinning every now and again – which this is. I strictly adhere to the Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide using one + or - for addition guidance:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
