BADFINGER Straight Up 2 LP UK Remastered Gatefold with Bonus Tracks
Apple Sapcor 19 1993 Rare Out of Print Audiophile LP
This is a great sounding version of this LP. Having the bonus tracks on a second disc at 45 rpm is a treat. All the liner notes and pics from the CD are included inside the glossy gatefold sleeve. Apparently all the early to mid 90's Badfinger Apple remasters were available this way (2 LP sets), but are quite rare.
This is the British remastered double LP by Badfinger titled "Straight Up" (Apple / Sapcor 19) (1993). It has 6 extra bonus tracks that didn't appear on the original 1972 album. Since Apple was the Beatles own label; George Harrison produced 4 of the tracks and Todd Rundgren produced the rest of the original tracks. The songs on the original album were: "Take It All" "Baby Blue" "Money" "Flying" I'd Die Babe" "Name of the Game" "Suitcase" "Sweet Tuesday Morning' "Day After Day" "Sometimes" "Perfection" "It's Over" The 2ND LP of bonus Tracks plays in 45 rpm which is a very cool feature
The bonus tracks are: "Money" - "Flying" - "Name Of The Game" - "Suitcase" --"Perfection" (all original versions - previously unreleased), and "Baby Blue" (U.S. Single Mix).
This album is in beautiful condition and appears to be in the same condition that it was when it was released. Both records have a beautiful lustre and Look unplayed. Side one of the first album has some ultra-fine, almost invisible sleeve or dust scratches that probably originate from when it was new. The gatefold jacket is in great condition with no splits or bends, and still has nice sharp corners. The photos are of the actual item for sale.
