Description

     This auction is for THE IVEYS AT THE BEEB.   This was released by the TRBEEB record label circa 1990, catalogue number TBLP-05 // TBR-LP5-A / TBR-LP5-B.  I believe this is on the Tiger Beat record label.

     This vinyl record album includes previously unreleased recordings done live in the studio or in front of an audience for playback on the BBC by The Iveys (pre-Badfinger).  These tracks were recorded off the air at the time of broadcast...supposedly in the fall of 1968 (which makes sense, since they cover The Beatles - Revolution).  The material on this release is good, but the recording quality is a 7 out of 10.  But then again, the tracks are pretty rare...

     I play-tested the entire record, and the record and cover are both in EXCELLENT condition.  The vinyl looks and sounds perfect with not a scratch.  Both orange record labels are blank (pic #12).  The tracks are not banded (separated) but just pressed as one long groove.

     The cover looks the same as when I purchased it new.  Along the left edge of the cover you will see some white (pic #6), but this is not from any wear (it's been in my collection for thirty years), but from when the cover was glued.  The cover probably came as one long sheet and folded over.  Other copies I've seen of this record cover appear the same.  There is a very small divot along the bottom edge of the back cover (where the back cover overhangs the front cover edge...pic #11).  By the way, the cover does have a light green tint to it.

     I was listening to so much music in the 1980s and 1990s that the most I could ever play a record was three times before I filed it away.  Tops, this was played a total of three times.  The price sticker with the release date is still attached to the top right corner of the front cover (pic #5).
