BANCHEE LP THINKIN' (Polydor 24-4066). Released 1971.
"RL STERLING" is etched in the dead wax to note that this copy was mastered by Robert Ludwig of Sterling Sound. The committed listener can expect superior sound craftsmanship.
Heavy Acid Rock. Hard to find original US pressing. This promo copy sounds better than even a Near Mint stock copy because as a promo, it was drawn from an earlier place in the run off the stamper. Banchee, with Peter Anthony Alongi on guitar & vocals, hailed from Boston. Recorded at Electric Ladyland in New York by Dave Palmer & Ralph Moss. Album closes with the nine-minute-long "38". White promo sticker on front cover. With the original Polydor printed inner sleeve (shows nice pic of the forgotten Elliott Randall album). (Matrix #: "POLP 80204-A/B RL Sterling").
COVER - E+
Beautiful rich color. No seam splits, tape, bubbles, puncture holes, cut-out marks, writing, price tags, or stickers on the cover. Spine & edges look very nice. Negligible ring wear. Slight corner banging. Nice flat cover free of creases, waves, bubbles & ripples. Inner sleeve looks great with no blemishes. Labels look great: no stains, scuffs or writing. Sharp-cut hole free of spindle scuffs.
DISC - VG+
Some brief hairline flecks. No scratches of major import. No stains, skips, warping, or residue on the disc or dead wax. Very nice reflective sheen on the platter surface. Album has been safely stored upright in smoke-free, climate-controlled conditions.
