BACKGROUND INFO FROM ALLMUSIC.COM WEBSITE:
A failed crossover attempt. Mason's manager Jimmy Bishop moved his protégé from his own Arctic Records to the short-lived National General Records. The resulting album didn't score many points with her fan base. Seven of the 11 songs are rehashes of pop hits including "Bridge Over Troubled Water," "There's Always Something There to Remind Me," and "Breaking up Is Hard to Do." She scored a smallish hit with a rendition of "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head." A Bishop/Mason composition "Yes It's You" followed and flailed in obscurity as did a final single "Jean," also included here. She cut four singles for National General before the label went under. Mason then went with Buddah Records and became a sultry singing diva, discarding any pop pretense and abandoning the sweet, innocent teen of Arctic Records forever. The National General experience wasn't a total loss; the label known for movie soundtracks allowed Mason to do her first soundtrack, The Last Cowboy, and contribute to blaxploitation films like Gordon's War and Sheba Baby.

SPINDLE HOLE WITH A FAINT RUB MARK. THE HIGH LUSTER VINYL BLANK WITH ASSORTED LIGHT AND FINE SURFACE RUB SCUFF MARKS AND PLAY LINES UNDER BRIGHT ANGLED LIGHT AND ASSIDUOUS EXAMINATION. WE'VE TEST PLAYED THIS LP BY SAMPLING EACH TRACK 2-3 TIMES ON A VPI TURNTABLE WITH A GRADO REFERENCE ONE WOOD CARTRIDGE WITHOUT NOTICE OF THE ABOVE ITEMS AND SOUNDING QUITE FINE HERE.
