GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a turntable Rega Planar 3 with a moving magnet cartridge Grado Statement 1. I listen EPs and singles 45  rpm. on a turntable Thorens TD 166 BC with a MM cartridge Goldring 1006. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : musiche composte e dirette da Barry Gray.

Notes : music composed and conducted by Barry Gray. The tracklist at the below includes either the themes from the movie which are accompanied by an asterisk or those from the tv series stated with the symbol °. Pleasing compositions which in some cases combine beautiful symphonic melodies with special sound effects creating therefore a sort of space rhapsody. Extensive use of percussion. Among the tracks : " Astronauts In Trouble " as a space battle underscored by sound effects and incessant percussion, " That Dangerous Game " theme from dynamic development where its overall symphonic construction gives way to the sax for a brief jazz solo, " Jeremiah ", lovely instrumental ballad featuring an excellent banjo, " Thunderbirds Theme ", present in the film opening credits from rather fast pace led by trombone with the support of the orchestra.
