Description
BARRY HARRIS - THE BARRY HARRIS TRIO – “BREAKIN’ IT UP” – ARGO LP 644 – VG+ – MONO
This is Harris’ first recording session of his own and was recorded on July 31, 1958. It features Barry Harris on piano, William Austin on bass and Frank Grant on drums. SIDE A: ALL THE THINGS YOU ARE; ORNITHOLOGY; BLUESY and PASSPORT. SIDEB: ALLEN’S ALLEY; EMBRACEABLE YOU; SRO and STRANGER IN PARADISE. This is a Mono recording.
I’ve rated this LP as VG+ for the following reasons. The vinyl on both sides is clean except for a couple of surface marks, which do no interfere with play. There is no sign of wear around the spindle holes, but there are a few marks around it. The record jacket is in excellent condition, with the exception that there is a small punch hole on the lower left corner. There are no taped seams. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks. Due to the various holidays coming up next week, my next auction will go out on April 12, 2012. Happy Holidays! Tom
