Description
For auction, here is: Barry Hay - Only Parrots, frogs and angels. Label is Polydor.
Cat. # is 2925 006. Manufactured in Holland. This is an original Dutch pressing from 1972 with STUNNING fantasy psych artwork over both panels.
SLEEVE.....The edges on this fully laminated g/fold sleeve are in EX+ condition The front is in EX+ condition with the button and perforated surrounding being fully intact. Somewhat miraculous, given how people liked to play with things and inquisitive, when they are young. The rear is EX with a small 1/2 inch clean tear on the lower left side (see photo) which is not very obvious at all.
The opening edge is EX with some light feathering only. All in all this is in BRILLIANT condition for a 36 year old sleeve. Grade as EX(+) for sure.
LABELS.....There is NO unwanted writing, stickers, residue or tears. This album has obviously always been handled with great care.
VINYL..... Both sides of this fantastic album still have their JUST PRESSED deep black shine. FULL GLOSS.

I have played this album on my very sensitive and revealing "Rega Planar 2" and the sound is UN-WORN, it is full and crisp there is NO loss of sound quality at all, wonderful sound stage and stereo separation. There AREN'T even any dust crackles that can be heard in the quiet parts of the music or between tracks. There is a small scratch on S2 T1 which you can feel but other than a few light clicks, it plays with no jumps, skips or anything. Drowned by the rock-style music on that track. These original pressings are second to none. This really is a LOVELY copy that any collector would be delighted to add to their collection, a real KEEPER . Grade disc as VG++.
Packed well with double protection on each side and corner protection as well. Disc will be placed outside sleeve so no splits possible.
DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE RARITY OF THIS ALBUM
