Rare LP on ISLAND. HELP 18. 1974.

Side 1 - Emergence.  Side 2 - Evolution.

Amazing record scored for - 1 Flugelhorn, 1 Alphorn, 2 Woodwind, 1 Cello, 1 Arco Bass, 1 Organ & sounds extracted from the following sources - 1 Gorilla, 2 Hornbills, 4 Flamingoes + various amplified insects, animals, birds, jets & other engines, sounds of the docks in Hull, Yorkshire & autistic children from the community of Schurmatt, Switzerland.

Record - Side 1 - has light clicks, pops & crackles. Near beginning has a medium scratch that lasts 35 secs & a very slight scratch a little further on that's noticeable for 4 mins or so & although it continues is less easy to hear.  Side 2 - has clicks / pops & from start has light to medium crackly / clicky scratch that goes on & off due to the levels of music / sound. It lasts for about 5 mins. When volume goes up it is less noticeable. A mark near the end lasts for 15 secs with crackle - VG.  Sleeve - top & bottom edges have a fair amount of wear, particularly the top which has a 6 cm split by the spine corner & there is a small strip of sellotape but this isn't too noticeable. The spine has much lighter wear & the wording is generally legible. Front & rear have ringwear top & bottom of sleeve more noticeable on rear. Also sleeve has wear as if from handling around top, bottom & spine edges most noticeable on rear + small creases around spine - VG - EX.
