BATHORY -
THE RETURN
1ST PRESS- UK 1987
****VERY SCARCE BATHORY SEMINAL BATHORY ALBUM ON VINYL, MOST WERE ON CD'S - FINAL UPGRADE*****ONE OF THE VERY HARDEST TO FIND!!!
FLAG 9
Matrices: A1 B1
"Angrier, heavier, darker, and all-around a whole lot more sinister than the s/t. It's hard to decide which of the two is more atmospheric, but The Return......'s drums are more noticeable and its riffs are more substantial. Additionally, more unique distortion and effects are used in this album, which takes away from the evil mood a little more, but it does add a new dimension to the vocals. Basically equal to s/t. Everything I said in my review there goes here, too. All of the pre-1990 Bathory albums are my absolute shit and I love them." (review: rateyourmusic.com)
Vinyl: EX A sensational find worthy of an archive!!! I have played this in FULL twice over> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! I first played for a general listen and a second time for a more detailed observation. There are NO jumps NO skips NO sticks. Best recorded version of this album. It beats the CD and remasters hand down There are no hairlines at all even under a strong light source this vinyl is close to over the counter condition. There are only the retraction paper traces like all vinyls have under a strong light. One low level tick on track 3 and that's it!! This is a KEEPER copy that will serve as a very healthy investment for the future!! I am very glad to be able to report that this is a fine slab of vinyl without any problems at all and as such worthy of inclusion of any great prog collection.
Sleeve: EX. Great condition sleeve with just light storage wear. Please do not hesitate to ask me for alternate views etc. and I will gladly provide these.
Inner lyric sleeve: EX . NO tears, NO splits.
This is a unique investment opportunity!!! Nowadays any Vertigo Swirl is very collectable. There are, however, a select few, not more than a dozen or so that will raise the pulses of collectors around the world. This is one of them!!! This album is impossible to find esp. in this sublime museum condition!!! One of half a dozen hardest to find Swirls, probably with "Ben", "Linda Hoyle", "Catapilla" and "Tudor Lodge".
This is a great and seriously collectable super album!!
Though there are rarely ever any problems with my items, I always try my very best to describe everything exactly! PLEASE REMEMBER to contact me FIRST, if you have any problems at all, before you leave feedback and star ratings, so I get a chance to turn any negative experience into a positive one! I can always happily sort anything out for you, if you let me know you have a problem! This way no one has to leave Negative/Neutral feedback - and we both walk away happy! Similarly with the amount of stars, anything less than a full 5 * rating is effectively detrimental to a seller's rating as lower ratings will incur higher Final Value Fees and lower priority in the bidlists eventually making it unattractive to list items on Ebay at all. I know of at least one major previous Ebay seller who has decided not to list via Ebay again. Please do NOT bid if you cannot give me at least 1 chance to sort everything out to your FULL satisfaction in the unlikely event of a problem. Thanks again!!
