MAI... / TROPICAL ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by THE BATKIN BROTHERS aka GIANCARLO BARIGOZZI GROUP. Original Italian 1st pressing on the FONO SEXY label (FS.002) from 1970. Cult and obscure Italian sex shop oddity. A private press Library single and freebie 7inch once given away with a sexy fumetti / porn magazine. Sounds just like a mutant out-take from the Barigozzi Tropicals - Urubamba session but much more raunchy and psychedelic. Daktari style bongos / jungle animal sound FX / psych fuzz distortions / hammond / jazz flute and other groovy rhythms topped with delirious caveman vocal shouts or female moans and groans. Lots of funky twists and turns from these un-credited musicans but it is the Barigozzi Group for sure. A killer double-sider for exotic DJ sets and everything about this record oozes sex... MAI is the orgasmic afro latin samba side, TROPICAL is the primitive fuzz cum obsessive beat side. We have recorded both sides for our soundclip, opening with the fabulous MAI theme. For us, the MAI theme is the superior side that was strangely never included on that 45 repress by 1966 Records Inc with Lumni's little known "Problems" theme from the Estatycon single (Fono Sexy FS. 001). Inspired label artwork design and tacky erotica sleeve to die for too. Rare 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is in shiny, VG+ condition with some hairlines / faint scuffs and a few light scratches. Light surface noises and some soft pops (mostly to the intros but all copies have this). Loud production sound. A few audible ticks to the fading outro of the "Tropical" side (as you can also hear on our soundclip). Dirt spot to one side of label (see photo). The soft card, sexy / nude picture sleeve is in VG+ condition with ring creasing, general wear and some deterioration (mostly to the right hand open side and top right corner area). Corner and edge wear. Rare 45!!!

Please feel free to contact us with any condition queries you may have preferably before bidding. We will get back to you asap.
