Bauhaus Bela Lugosi's Dead extremely rare MGM/UA 7" promo. This record is to Bauhaus collectors what The Beatles "butcher cover" is to Beatles fans. The holy grail of Bauhaus records. This record contains the only alternate version of Bela Lugosi's Dead available on any compilation CD, vinyl or otherwise. This is the under 4 minute version of the song released to theaters only for Tony Scott's vampire film The Hunger. This is the most sought after Bauhaus record in existence. Often referred to in completist discographies, seldom seen. Released in 1983 to promote the movie this 7" was given to theaters to help advertise the soundtrack. Both sides contain this version of Bela Lugosi's Dead. Vinyl is in Very Good++ condition and has been played very few times. Buyer picks up shipping and handling and insurance is a must. Serious bidders only. I want to make sure this goes to someone who deserves it. I really don't want to give this baby up, but rent comes before a nice record collection. Get it while you can, because I seriously doubt you will have another opportunity to stumble across this truly unique and rare record.
