Goth pioneers Bauhaus formed in England in 1978. They were goth, but also glam, psychedelic, funk, electronica, and post-punk. A truly diverse band that could make nearly any kind of music! Bauhaus launched the career of lead singer Peter Murphy, and the other band members resurfaced in Love and Rockets and Tones On Tail, among other bands. Bauhaus reunited a few times through the years, toured, and even released a new song in 2022. The band leaves behind an influential and important legacy of music and style...

The very first album was released in 1980. It's called 'In the Flat Field', and the cover's artwork is a reproduction of a 1949 photograph of a nude man, in black and white. (I censored the pic with a white square piece of paper. Almost like boxer shorts!) The album didn't have any big hits like "Bela Lugosi's Dead", but is now considered an integral part of the goth music genre. Up for grabs today is a rare and scarce copy of this goth masterpiece, on a 12" picture disc! This is thick and heavy 180 gram vinyl. Comes in a clear PVC jacket. In great shape, and is shiny and clean!

I'll also add a couple of very cool bonuses! First up is the full length CD of Bauhaus singles! Originally released in 1986 (yes, they had CDs in the 80s! Lol), this contains FOURTEEN tracks from Bauhaus, including the big hit for them: "Bela Lugosi's Dead"! It's songs from their beginning up until 1983. Disc looks great, and is shiny and clean. Case looking really good, as well. Second bonus is a special limited edition EP titled 'The Singles 1981-1983', and features their remake of the old Bowie song "Ziggy Stardust"! The CD itself has a pic of the band on it, and is shiny and clean. The case looks very nice, as well.
