Description
I have a small run of the very rare BBC transcription vinyl records to list this week. As you can see they are ORIGINAL green, green/yellow labels NOT the repro black & white versions !
Next up is a very rare Pick of the Pops number 353 compilation from 1971.
This example is a bit of a conundrum to me in that the running order does not seem to match the cue-sheet which came with the disc. The mono side does feature The Hollies performing Hold On & Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress as well as Rory Gallagher, It Takes Time. There are other tracks I do not know. The stereo side doesn't seem to follw the cue sheet at all but having said that I am totally in the dark when it comes to the music of BJH & the likes of wishbone Ash. I tried to google some of the lyrics on each song but came up with a blank. If there is a song on the cue sheet and you have the lyrics e-mail them to me and I'll confirm whether they are on the record or not.
Inner sleeve & cue sheet only - no yellow outer sleeve. Good condition but the record does make a little bit of crackling when played.
Curiously - this disc is listed on a Barclay James Harvest discography site with a different expiry date !
Winning bidder pays £3.00 recorded / £5.50 special delivery within the UK - overseas airmail is £3.50 Europe & £5.00 USA / World. Add £3.30 for insurance and please note I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST POST WHEN INSURANCE HAS NOT BEEN OPTED FOR.
Paypal, cheques / postal orders in UK sterling.
On 08-Jan-07 at 09:38:29 GMT, seller added the following information: I AM FAIRLY CERTAIN THAT SIDE B OF THIS DISC IS THE OBSCURE FOLK-PROG BAND MARK ALMOND IN IT'S ENTIRETY. I KNOW IT SAYS THAT ON THE LABEL BUT I WAS NOT AWARE OF THE GROUP AND ASSUMED THAT WAS THE NAME OF THE DJ - NO RELATION TO MARC ALMOND OF SOFT CELL OF COURSE !!!! APOLOGIES FOR THAT. IN OTHER WORDS DO NOT ASSUME THE CUE SHEET IS WHAT IS ON THE RECORD OTHER THAN THE HOLLIES / RORY GALLAGHER SONGS WHICH I HAVE IDENTIFIED. FEEL FREE TO REMOVE YOUR BID IF THIS AFFECTS YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE DISC.price rating
