Extremely rare collection of 7 x 7” Lp’s from the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. These are the rarest of all the BBC sound effects 7” as all the discs feature only electronics and electronic effects from “Deep pulsations” to “Acid blobs” these are not the average dog barking etc effects no, these contain only electronic effects and cues. This small collection took me 30 years to amass from editors collections from former BBC world service producers etc. Only a handful of these transcription disc were ever made for internal use only at the BBC. Minuscule runs only to service relevant departments and editors. I have been told between10-25 copies but have no hard proof of this. These recording were never available commercially. Likely to feature everyone from Delia Derbyshire, David Cain, Desmond Briscoe, Brian Hodgson, John Baker, Paddy Kingsland etc etc. I have searched institutions world wide to no avail and I have never seen another of the electronic only Lp’s sold individual any where or know any one who has seen any other the odd collection of the normal sound recording effects that have turned up like I said these are not those. Feel free to search and see what you find - nothing ! The electronics here ranges from pure tone to demented pulse tone and filtered pulse ring modulation with echo and reverb with magnetic tape feedback in reverse echo, rhythmic tape loops and just about everything else you would expect from the geniuses at The Radiophonic Workshop.
