Description
TOP OF THE POPS 337 (BBC Transcription Service, April 1971) Expiry Date: April 1972
Mega-rare, pressed in 100 copies only (most of which were destroyed/damaged or lost) UK original BBC Transcription Disc LP originally destined for some foreign radio stations connected in some ways with BBC.
This LP contains 12 previously unreleased, mono, high-fidelity tracks RECORDED LIVE IN THE STUDIO by (mostly) UK artists. Fans of classic rock should note unreleased, great tracks by EARLY Slade (Man Who Speaks Evil & Get Down & Get With It), amazing, progressive band Mogul Thrash - WITH YOUNG JOHN WETTON ON BASS (Fuzz Box & Conscience - both unreleased on their only album!) & Amazing Blondel (alternate versions os Spring Season & Old Moot Hall). There are also very fine, BBC renditions from Mungo Jerry x2 & Seal and Crofts x 2. All tracks differs from released LP versions and are exclusive to this BBC album.
Those BBC TRANSCRIPTION DISC albums are rare as hell (especially those released until end of 1972), but in last 2-3 years many of those titles appeared on the market (in 1 or 2 copies), because 2 very large BBC radio collections (NOT in great condition) were bought by one lucky Ebay seller and they simply flooded the market and now most of the collectors may think they are ordinary and common items! Well, they are definitely NOT! All BBC albums were released in die-cut, flimsy, yellow company sleeve with red print. In addition 2 or 3 cue sheets were included.
Record: MINT- In fantastic condition, nearly new! Just 1-2 slightest surface marks on each side. Probably played once or twice!
Labels: MINT(-) Perfect - with 1 spindle mark around the hole.
2 cue sheets (4 pages) are included.
Shipping to UK is NOT 4.50 pounds.
REGISTERED SHIPPING WORLDWIDE IS 8 POUNDS (it's 10 EURO or 13 DOLLARS) + 2 POUNDS FOR EACH NEXT LP
