Description
In Concert 300 Elton John at the Hammersmith Odeon
Introduced by Brian Matthew a recording of the last performance of his sell out tour . The LP has some surface noise (occasional clicks) but it doesn't detract from enjoying the concert. Record grading is a very imprecise 'art' and very subjective.The photo of the wave form of the recording shows, above, the LP as played and below the waveform with clicks removed. The LP has come from my own collection.
The cardboard sleeve is 'generic' of plain yellow card. There is no cue sheet.
For those who do not know the story of these transcription LP's briefly - - The BBC sent out these LP's to radio stations who had paid to play them a number of times over a 3 or 4 year period after which the LP was supposed to be returned or destroyed with proof of destruction. Clearly a number were spirited out of the radio station. The BBC produced about 200 copies of the more popular programmes and fewer of programmes with less appeal.
I don't sell outside the U.K. and LP's are sent 'signed for'.
