TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT BBC Transcription Services 1981 The best of The Navy Lark - 12 programmes [or parts thereof] on 12 consecutive sides, numbered 1 - 12. Personnel named on labels: Stephen Murray, Jon Pertwee, Leslie Phillips; Also mentioned in the announcement on the sides we have heard, is Ronnie Barker amongst others - obviously not then the leading actor. Cat: CN3805 on all records. All mono; All records bear publishing date 1981 [expiry 1985]. We cannot state the date of recordings, however each side begins and ends with the signature tune by Tommy Reilly (who made harmonica records in the 1950s). All sides are divided into two contiguous tracks each; i.e. so that they can either be played continuously by the broadcaster or a break inserted mid-way. All sides are measured as 27 minutes precisely. Labels are all unmarked -and if not mint, then very nearly so. Inner sleeves are plain white with some sort of plastic lining. Outer covers are all very nice but not mint - there are minor marks on one or two and some corners are a bit dog-eared from storage. Very little signs of regular handling. Records appear to be perfect, and may possibly not have been played except the short passage played by us for checking purposes.
