Description
This is a promo copy of a rare 45 rpm single by The Beach Boys: "School Day (Ring! Ring! Goes the Bell)" b/w "When Girls Get Together" (Caribou DJZS9 9034). Released in Canada in 1980. Songs taken from the "Keepin' the Summer Alive" LP. This is a really tough one to find, as "School Day" was shortly withdrawn as a single, and no stock copies have ever been seen. In the U.S., only the very rare double-sided promo was released. This Canadian promo is unusual in that it carries the B side, "When Girls Get Together"--a song originally intended for the ill-fated "Landlocked" LP. The A side is the classic Chuck Berry number. The B side is co-written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love. Both sides produced by Bruce Johnston.
The record is in EX condition. Labels show no wear--just some writing in black marker on the "School Day" side (see photo). Vinyl has high gloss and only a few minor paper scuffs.
