    BEACH BOYS THE CAPITOL YEARS - 1962-69       6 LP BOX SET - 1980 UK PRESS OF 100+ SONGS                              It features all 6 LP's by the Beach Boys, over 100 songs, WITHOUT the 7th "The Brian Wilson Productions" album. Usually found in this set of recordings, the 7th album is non-Beach Boys and contains only the other artists that were produced by Brian Wilson. This collection of 6 lp albums cover the first of three record company affiliations the Beach Boys have had. The Beach Boys were with Capitol Records from approx May of 1962 to February of 1970. These Beach Boys albums are called "Summertime USA", "California Dream", "Sunshine Music", "Changes", "Timeless", and "Breakaway". They feature songs from 1962-1969 in a more, or less chronological order. Many of these selections appear on an album for the first time. Also included is an excellent condition booklet detailing the songs and more information about the Beach Boys.                            *                                                                                                      VINYL CONDITION MINT- (M-) looks like new and appears to have been very well cared for with little or no play-time. The surface on all records have a high glossy dark shine without any scuffing, scratches or marks of any type. Labels are very clean without any stains,writing or marking...                                                                                                                                        *ALBUM COVER IS GRADED VG++ with little signs of handling. All the covers have a clean gloss appearance without any stains, writing, tape, stickers, ring wear or any seam splits. Over-all would have rated M- also but there are small bent/dented corners on the upper left side. It appears the box and may have been dropped, hiting the tip of the upper left side corner, causing the album covers corner left tip to crease slightly. This is the only a small cosmetic item but is mentioned as the only negative with everything else in pristine condition.                       *                                                                                                                                             Note: This is a UK pressing set and the others are from Japan. The major noticeable difference is that the label of the Japanese pressings have the Purple Capital Logos. The UK labels are, as seen in the pictures, a red and white with "World Records" made in Great Britain. Note also, when the UK albums are placed together (picture 1) that they form one large picture the same car as shown on the box cover.
