Of all the Christmas albums released during the '50s and '60s, this is probably the best of them. Unlike so many other groups who would trot out their version of some standards, arranged in a very standard way, The Beach Boys did a whole Lp of songs that sound like THEY WROTE THEM.

Even when they're singing one of the old seasonal chestnuts, they still sound fresh. And the songs like "Santa's Beard," "Little Saint Nick" and "Man With All The Toys" are a real treat. Its astounding that this record never hit the charts.

This is a vintage UK pressing IN STEREO on the old colorband Capitol label. It's got all the cover variations that place it under the tree for Christmas of '64.
