Description
Up for auction is a copy of Shoot The Curl b/w Surfin’ Down The Swanee River by The Honeys, released in 1963 on Capitol, cat no K 22 443, a German pressing. Produced (and b-side written) by Brian Wilson, and co-sung by his wife-to-be Marilyn Rovell.. Unlike its release in Scandinavia, this single was a huge flop in Germany, and is now one of the rarest European Beach Boys–related releases.
Condition: a few marks & scuffs on either side. There is some “juking” (I think that’s what it’s called) in the dead wax of each side. None of this seriously affects play, it still plays through without jumps/skips & generally sounds fine. Traces of stickers (but no tears!) on each label. Released without picture sleeve. VG-.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item in pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence!
