BEACH BOYS - JAN & DEAN RELATED 45s STOCK and PROMO COPIES OF VEGETABLES BY LAUGHING GRAVY
Quite possibly the RAREST EVER Jan & Dean related 45s and very rare Beach Boys related 45s. Here are some commonly accepted facts on the Vegetables track:

Laughing Gravy was a Dean Torrence (Jan & Dean) project. Dean was flying solo; Jan Berry was recovering from his auto accident.

"Vegetables" was a song Brian Wilson was planning to use for the Beach Boys' aborted SMILE album.

SMILE (the '67 version) was never released, but the Beach Boys cut another version of the song for their SMILEY SMILE album.

Dean says that Brian gave him permission to record his own version.

Dean did the lead vocals, and Larry Knetchel and Joe Osbourne reportedly played all the instruments. Or did Dean use the original Smile Instrumentals? Different reports make this fact unclear.

Brian is said to have contributed background vocals, along w/ his wife Marilyn, her sister Diane Rovell, and Ginger Blake (commonly known as The Honeys)

The promo is double A side Vegetables track. The Stock copy has a B-side Snowflakes on Laughing Gravy's Whiskers.
I've personally only ever seen three copies of the promo 45 listed for sale and have NEVER (other than the one I own) seen anyone with the standard stock copy of the 45!
Both 45s are for sale as a set. Both are in EXC or NM condition as far as I can tell (I am not a professional record grader). Both are in original White Whale sleeves.
