Here is one of the most coveted collectors LP of the 1960s pop music scene.
Pet Sounds is the eleventh studio album by the American rock band The Beach Boys, released May 16, 1966, on Capitol Records. It has been widely ranked as one of the most influential records ever released in pop music and has been ranked at number #1 in several music magazines' lists of greatest albums of all time.
This is a first pressing of 'Pet Sounds' by The Beach Boys, on the rainbow rimmed Capitol record label from 1966 in Mono.
It is a rare UK 1st press matrix issue. The record vinyl run off has the early issue matrix T1/T2 and is in the original wonderful heavy weight vinyl.
This album is a fantastic sounding record with some great tracks.
A TRUE 60s ROCK GEM . . .
Vinyl:
The vinyl is in Very Good Plus (VG +) condition. The vinyl have one or two minor surface scuffs and marks on both sides. The black and rainbow rimmed printed labels are completely clean with light centre hole scuff marks. The silver printed label text is sharp and clean. Over all a very tidy and respectable collectors vinyl.

Sleeve
The sleeve is in Very Good Plus (VG +) condition. This is the early Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd printed sleeve with the classic sleeve art work animal design. This is the early laminated high gloss fold over seam issue. With some light and minor back handling marks. Minor and light front creasing to front lamination. No tears or pen marks of any kind. Some very light and minor corner rounding. Over all a bright, sharp and tidy original 1966 sleeve. Not bad for 44 years old . . .
