TITLE/INFO: OK, I'll be listing more old and rare 45's these next few days and weeks, as well as more rare EP's and LP's, so if you have interest in great conditioned "oldies" please continue to check in on my site - and thank you in advance. This early and rare, very 1st 45 and picture sleeve combination is by the legendary '60's surf/car group, The Beach Boys, from 1962. This very 1st release for Capitol Records features a picture of their neighbor and very first group member, 12 year old David Marks, who played guitar for them at this time before Al Jardine joined the group to replace him. Can you imagine how David Marks must feel today - oh my!! Anyway, the double-sided hit single - with the attractive front side surfboard picture of the group - is entitled "Surfin' Safari/409" - both are classic Beach Boys songs. Both the vinyl and the picture sleeve are in extremely nice, nearly perfect shape, but please read on, see the pictures above, and judge everything for yourself. LABEL INFO: This original, Capitol Label (4777) is super clean and nice, with nothing in any serious need of any mention. I don't even see any spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates to me that it had very little actual play. VINYL INFO: The vinyl is also super shiny, clean, and nice - and again, I don't see any serious flaws here either - perhaps just a few extremely light (and I do mean extremely light) "surface lines", but in my opinion, they are really quite light, hard to notice, and totally uneventful. Otherwise, it looks about as good as the day it was 1st purchased. PICTURE SLEEVE: Finally, this attractive picture sleeve, with one great picture of the group, is in great shape and close to perfect as well - again, maybe just some early and light signs of natural "aging", but nothing serious, believe me (view the pics above)! INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, in my opinion, this collectible, very 1st record and the picture sleeve by the group are both really clean and nice, so please have at it. As always, I have begun the auction at a very low opening bid and have no reserve price - just free and open bidding - so good luck! FYI, if anyone wants to bid on multiple items to save postage costs, I am more than happy to "save" your winning pieces here at the house until you are ready for shipping - just tell me ahead of time and please pay as you win them. In addition to this record, I will continue to list many other RnR/R&B LP's, EP's, and 45's by 1950-60's artists----and even some C&W LPs/45's, too. I am selling off my entire personal collection, and there are 1000's of more records to list yet -- of all varieties and genres. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!  If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $4.00 (1st Class Mail and Delivery Confirmation) for the first 45 purchased, and then just $.50 per 45 after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are $18.00 for the 1st 45 and then just $3.00 per 45 after that. PLEASE NOTE: I will not be responsible for records  that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. However, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come! browser does not support JavaScript.
