The BEATLES. “GREATEST”. Later 3rd Portrait Label Edition!! Still 16 Songs! Worldwide unique Beatles cover with artsy drawing of the Beatles as older men, as in WHEN I’M SIXTY-FOUR. This is a set of Beatles “early” Greatest Hits on an album first issued in ISRAEL, on APPLE, in 1970. But, it was first issued from Germany in 1965 on Odeon!! It contains about 6 rarely chosen Beatles songs, such as I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER, LONG TALL SALLY, and IT WON’T BE LONG!! Several others!!! Titled BEATLES GREATEST, this version appears to be from about 1980, issued on the later economy PORTRAIT Label, still clearly from ISRAEL, with same 16 Beatles songs and order!! Six of the songs are rarely on the Beatles “Best Of” albums!! Of the 16 songs 12 are from Lennon-McCartney. They mostly come from previous Singles, 1963 up to 1965. None from later than TICKET TO RIDE. 2 or more songs from each of the Beatles first 4 albums, and 5 more from various Singles and EPs. This one is still produced by George Martin. Fantastic, as always!! And now another of the worlds unique and different Beatles cover, with imaginative drawing on a record album cover! A beautiful unique one, Israel only!!! It attracted me to this record immediately!! NOTE: compare this cover to the Apple cover from 10 years prior and you will see this later cover, and back, have fainter ink drawings of the Flab Fab Four!! But the vinyl is graded Goldmine EX, my highest grade for opened items!! It appears UNPLAYED. Fully shiny and no writing! Clean! Photos 1-6 are the item for sale, photos just for fun!! Photos 7-8 show the cover on Apple from 1970!! And Photos 9-10show the other 2 album covers of hits containing the Hi-Hat All My Loving!! Plus photos 11-12 show the Parlophone and Apple labels from Israel earlier editions!! I started collecting worldwide Beatles various Greatest/Best Hits albums 20 years ago. I am starting to sell them off. I doubt EMI / Odeon will ever reissue these unique vinyl LPs again, so getting a copy under $100 is a Now or Never proposition!! Additional rarity hits here are: EIGHT DAYS A WEEK, TWIST AND SHOUT, and ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC. And my favorite from this batch, ALL MY LOVING, with super rare fantastic 5-beat Hi-Hat Cymbal intro count in!!! Only on Euro Beatles Greatest Hits Albums and Beatles World’s Best LPs!! This LP is an Amazing conglomeration of interesting songs!! Of course every song is a classic, even today, over 50 years later. And 12 qsongs on this LP were originals written by Lennon McCartney. They all still sound so fresh, with Incredible energy from the Boys as they attack your ears with superb melodies and harmonies! This is a beautiful record, quite wonderful sounding! This LP is well kept and in plastic sleeve since its purchase by me in 2015, I quickly learned to handle them as little as possible, especially one of these Beatles International compilation reissues which I thought would become rarer and greatly treasured!!
