Description
This is the original UK 45rpm 7 inch by THE BEATLES, LOVE ME DO / P.S I LOVE YOU, 1962 1st press on the RED PARLOPHONE label 45-R 4949, with 'Recording First Published 1962', label credit, complete with the correct original multi-coloured striped Parlophone sleeve, matrix numbers are, SIDE A:- 7XCE 17144-1N, SIDE B:- 7XCE 17145-1N, stamping codes are, SIDE 1:- M,P,ZT,1 and RD, SIDE 2:- P,ZT,1 and GP and a upside down M. The visual grading is a strong EX condition, with only a few small very light marks which donot effect the audio experience in anyway, the audio grading is a stunning *NEAR MINT*, I played each side 1 time only- VERY CAREFULLY, both sides play with SUPERB clarity and crispness, which only a quality pressing can give, a sheer delight to listen to, a FANTASTIC quality pressing!. The label's are graded EX+, there are no scuffs, beautifully clean, no unwanted writing, the spindal hole area's are beautifully crisp and are NOT worn, the red colour is as fresh and vibrant as the day of press, there is only a very small light mark on side 1 (Love me Do), where a sticker has been very carefully removed, side 1 has the stamped tax code KT in the centre of the label. The original 1962 Parlophone 7" sleeve is in EX condition, nice and clean, both sides, there is no unwanted writing, no seam splits, only at the top is there a little ruffling, the sleeve still has all of it's bright colouring, a very respectable sleeve. Altogether a great original UK 1st press 45rpm of LOVE ME DO / P.S I LOVE YOU, more and more differcult to find, espicially one in this great condition, the audio is AMAZING!.
