The Beatles - 'The Beatles Hits'. GEP 8880 NI

The Beatles 1963 1st Nigerian pressing of 'The Beatles Hits' E.P. These Nigerian pressing are remarkably rare due to their very low pressing run. In addition, this issue also features an unusual spelling error on the side one label. 'The Beatles' are incredibly incorrectly listed as 'THE BEATEES'. Side two correctly lists them as 'The Beatles'.

Released on the Parlophone label both sides feature 'The Parlophone Co.Ltd....' rim print, 'Made in Nigeria' and 'E.M.I (NIGERIA) LIMITED. The catalog number also has two additional digits GEP 8880 NI to differentiate it from the UK version. These are simply an abbreviation of Nigeria. The vinyl comes housed within the original UK produced flip back sleeve. Due to the very small pressing run for this E.P it was simply far more cost effective to import a quantity of UK sleeves. The rear features an original sticker stating the catalog number and the original price of 14/6.

The Matrix numbers are: (both sides have NO mother, stamper codes and NO tax codes).

The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition.

Both labels are in EXCELLENT+ condition.

The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.
