After 20 years of collecting, the time has come for me to sell my Beatles collection and let other collectors appreciate some of the records and memorabilia I've accumilated over the years. Please check out my other listings and remember to save me as a favourite seller, as every week I'll be listing more and more increasingly rare, collectible and desirable Beatles records!
Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

This auction is for a rare, authentic mono copy of the American Beatles LP 'Introducing the Beatles' on the all-black 'Block' logo label.
The story behind this LP is very interesting. I highly recommend you read up on it at its Wikipedia article.
Introducing the Beatles is one of the most counterfeited LPs of all time. However, this is a 100% authentic, genuine pressing. Nearly every fake lists the Version 1 songs whilst nearly every genuine copy lists the version 2 songs. Nearly every fake was printed as stereo whereas most mono copies are genuine. This copy has the right colour hue, it has George's shadow, it has the 1/4" internal overflaps at the top and bottom of the mouth (on fakes this overflap is much longer) and the back passes the 'Honey' test (fakes have a chunk of the H in Honey missing). The deadwax on the record is less than 1" thick (fakes have a deadwax larger than 1") and the credit 'The Beatles' is above the spindlehole. On every fake this credit is below the spindlehole!
The deadwax also carries the circled MR stamp, showing that this particular pressing was produced at the Monarch record Manufacturing Company in California.

The American covers are pretty fragile and usually turn up in a pretty bad shape. This copy, however, is still holding up okay albeit with some light wear and tear. The front cover has it's lovely rich, dark colors to it with a little wear on the slight. There's some knocking in the corners and a little extra wear along the bottom. Sue Tollefson has written her name on the left (Thanks, Sue!). Top seam is overall holding well but with a little paper tear in the corners, and there's no splitting. The bottom seam, again, is holding okay although it has a little more wear at either side and has split at the mouth edge about 2-3" in. The back is still pretty pale and has some light wear as you can see. There's a small tear in the back slick at the bottom right corner. Overall, looking okay with some light wear and tear. The playing surface has a fair amount of light, fait scuffing along with a few slightly heavier looking scuffs. There's a scuff on side 1 at the 3 o'clock position. it runs through most of the tracks and, although looking light, is just about feelable under the fingernail. Otherwise, not looking too bad!

The labels are looking good with no fading of the silver text. There's a quite a lot of light, faint spindlewear and no whitening aroudn the centrehole. Not bad!
