PLEASE READ FIRST!
I'm having to make this even clearer as people are still buying records I'm grading low and as a 'collection filler', and then complain about the audio quality when they try to play them. As I do not own a record player I VISUALLY GRADE my records. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click, skip and noise free (although any marks that may cause such problems will be highlighted in the description).
All photos are of the actual item on sale. I do not use stock or 'borrowed' images.

Original Mono 1st Press - Promo / Factory Sample Press!
BBC Gramophone Library Copy!
On offer here is an original UK mono press of the Beatles double EP Magical Mystery Tour. This particular pressing is a factory sample pressing that also features the BBC Gramophone Library stamp in the inside of the cover - possibly indicating a promo copy? I'm not sure - research into the BBC Gramophone Library brings up a blank but may indicate that this was an advance copy that had Factory Sample stickered adhered to the labels to prevent any selling-on of the record whilst it was used to promote the forthcoming release. It's a thought!
Either way, Factory Sample copies of Beatles records are very hard to find and are highly collectible!
I've heard three stories as to what a Factory Sample sticker meant. The first reason was that an EMI employee wanted to by a copy using company discount. A Factory Sample sticker was stuck to the labels so that the employee couldn't then go take it to resell at full price. The second reason is that, every so often, a copy was taken from the production line, had a Factory Sample sticker stuck to the label, and then sent off to quality control. The third reason is that a copy was given a Factory Sample sticker and then sent out by EMI as a promotional / demo copy for radio stations and record shops to play and promote the release.

The sleeve is holding up very nicely with just a few little knocks and bumps here and there. Slightly worn but still a very respectible example of the cover! Nice and clean and with all the pages in the booklet intact and complete, and also has the original blue lyric sheet. Inner Sleeve Condition One white sleeve is original with a straight-cut opening and is in VG condition with a few little tears and creases. The other sleeve is a modern replacement. Inserts Condition - Disc Condition(VISUALLY GRADED) Disc 1 is in EX- condition. The disc has a really nice shine to it and just some light scuffing here and there. Nothing at all serious!
Disc 2 is in VG+ condition. Again, looking clean but has a little more scuffing that disc 1. But nothing nasty or serious looking.
Label Condition The labels on disc 1 are in EX+ condition. Both labels are clean with bright, silver text and have a little, light spindlewear and a touch of white around the centrehole.The labels on disc 2 are in EX+ condition. Again, both labels are clean with bright silver text. No writing, tears etc and with just a few light spindlemarks with a touch of whitening around the centrehole.
All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.
Records are posted out tracked and insured (where applicable) to comply with eBay and PayPal seller protection policy.

All LPs will be mailed out in a strong, corrugated cardboard LP mailing box with the LP outside the sleeve and extra
sheets of corrugated cardboard will be used where applicable.
My Vinyl Grading:
MINT No true preowned disc can be mint. The highest I will ever grade a disc is NM+/M- if it looks untouched and unplayed, but the MINT description will only be for records I personally know have never been played (i.e. I personally bought from new) or for copies that are still sealed. NEAR MINT (NM) For discs that look near flawless and which may have just the slightest, barely visible little whispy marks here and there. EXCELLENT (EX) For discs that still retain a brilliant, clean shine but does have some light scuffs here and there. VERY GOOD (VG) For discs that still look clean and have a nice shine to them, but do have a fair amount of light scuffmarks and/or some light scratches. GOOD (G) For discs that look like they have been loved and have a fair amount of scuffs and surface scratches. Not in terrible condition, but would look like it would play with a lot of crackle. FAIR (F) For discs that may have some life left in them but are pretty trashed with numerous surface scuffs and heavier scuffs and scratches etc POOR (P) For discs that are unplayable and look completely trashed. Discs like this would only ever be offered if they were insanely rare.price rating
