Description
The Beatles - 'Hey Jude / Revolution'. DP 570.
The Beatles 1968 1st UK EXPORT pressing of the 'Hey Jude / Revolution' 7" single. Released on the 30th August 1968, these export issues were pressed in the UK in tiny amounts and destined for overseas export only. This version also comes housed within the incredibly rare 'newspaper' variation sleeve. It is offered here in wonderful EXCELLENT condition.
Released on the Parlophone label both sides feature 'The Gramophone Co.Ltd' rim print and 'MADE IN GT. BRITAIN' text. The 'KT' tax code is embossed on the side two label. This EXPORT ONLY single came housed within two sleeve variations - the first which simply features the same design on both sides and the much, much rarer 'newspaper' sleeve. This variation was intended for export to Sweden only and features a Swedish language newspaper article on the rear (see pictures below). A rare UK Parlophone export single in wonderful EXCELLENT condition, fully complete and housed within the original and desirable picture sleeve.
The Matrix numbers are:
Side 1. 7XCE 21185-1 4 GRA KT
Side 2. 7XCE 21186-1 3 HP KT
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT+ condition.
The sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition. Some minor neat writing and a small area of tape residue to the rear (see pictures below).
