Description
After the White Album was released in 1968 a second pressing / issue was produced a year after. This is one such example and has the requisite:
- double gatefold sleeve which is numbered but now side opening
- fold-out poster (with lyrics on the rear) and 4 no. colour print
- two black but now polythene lined inner sleeves (replacing the original matt black inners which were like sandpaper on the vinyl)
Sleeve: Laminated throughout and numbered 151786. No rips, tears or writing. Has a bit of ringwear and a tad of corner rub but the edges and spine are ok. Condition wise I rate it 8 out of 10.
Poster: Fine with just a hint of wear on the folds so 9 /10.
Colour Prints: The four prints are super clean and 9 /10 to allow for minimal corner creasing.
Apple Promo Prints: All four are very clean and are size 25cm x 21cm except for John's which is 25cm x 20cm. 9 /10 to allow for age.
Inner Sleeves: Very nice, 9 /10.
Labels: A very clean 9 /10. Not much evidence of play at the spindle holes.
Vinyls: In room daylight they look great, fresh and shiny. Angled beneath the all-knowing and unforgiving desk lamp I see light scuff marks which is possibly down to handling but invariably due to 'being in storage' over the decades, even for poly-lined sleeves. As such I give the discs 8.5 /10 for condition.
