Description
BEATLES “BEATLES FOR SALE†1st PRESSING STEREO LP Y&B LABEL
Features:
1. PCS 3062 – 1964 STEREO 1st pressing with matrix numbers YEX 142-1 (Side 1) & YEX 143-1 (Side 2).
2. Yellow & Black labels are excellent. They have the 'Sold in the UK...' and “Recording first published….†text and 'The Parlophone Co Ltd...' rims.
3. Tax Code embossed with the rarer ‘MT’ code on Side 2.
4. Stamper codes = 4/0 on Side 1 & 2/P on Side 2
5. Original gatefold sleeve with laminated front cover with outline STEREO. The cover is in reasonable condition for its age – no writings or doodles but heavy crease on rear ans bumping to spine and corners.
6. EMI inner sleeve. Complete but has repairable seam splits. No writing or doodles.
7. The LP itself is a thick vinyl pressing that retains its gloss. Fair to Good. Side 1 has some feathering marks and light scratches. Side 2 has feathering, light scratches but one deep scratch which runs along the whole side of the vinyl.
I played the LP to check out the effect of the scratch and amazingly it plays through without skipping at all, although the sound does click as the stylus passes over it. I guess this is a sign of the high quality with which these vinyl records were made at the time.
POSTAGE £4 (UK) £5.50 (EUROPE) & £7.50 (REST OF THE WORLD)

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
