Greetings! I have been collecting Beatles LPs for over 20 years, and this is, simply put, the finest paste over butcher cover I’ve ever seen. I’ve sold a few of these over the years, and I’ve usually had to make excuses for the condition they were in. Not so with this album. This is a mono copy, number T 2553, 100% original and authentic pressing… not a reproduction! The cover is still in the shrinkwrap. It looks as if someone bought this album in 1966, took the record out, played it once, and put the album on the shelf for the next 45 years. The cover is in gorgeous condition, no issues or problems whatsoever to report. There is the remainder of an old price tag in the upper left hand corner, which is adhered to the shrinkwrap only. A V-shaped dark area is present to the right of the trunk, where Ringo’s v-neck from the butcher slick shows through the white cover. I wasn’t able to get it to show up very well with my camera, but you can somewhat see it in the last picture. The shrinkwrap makes it hard to photograph, but in person it is very apparent. The catalog number in the upper right hand corner of the front cover is partially covered by the trunk slick, another sign of the presence of the butcher cover. The cover has the number 6 next to the RIAA symbol on the back. The original 1966 Capitol “sounds great” sleeve is present. The vinyl grades a very nice VG++, and the cover is Near Mint. I will ship the LP outside the cover in a plain white sleeve to keep anything from getting damaged in shipment. If you want a gorgeous copy of a very rare Beatles album, here it is!!
