BEATLES 3 x VERY RARE SILVER & BLUE/BLACK 1ST PRESSINGS

These three LPs are all original and genuine rare first pressings from Rhodesia in their original and extremely rare sleeves.

It is very difficult to find a copy of one of these being offered for sale but to have three in one auction is a real treat for collectors of non-UK Beatles albums.

PLEASE PLEASE ME

·         MONO - PMCJ 1202 on the original-style Parlophone label in Silver & Dark Blue

·         Made in Rhodesia in 1963 for the South African market

·         Textured labels are excellent.

·         Labels have the slightly raised inner rims – similar to those used for Decca & Pye contract pressings

·         Dick James Credits for 6 tracks

·         Vinyl is near excellent

·         Matrix No.s XEX 421 & XEX422 with “MADE IN S RHODESIA” in the run out groove

·         Cover is an original tri-fold flat flipback printed by Swan Press. Angus Bean credit. Cover is in very good condition for its age. Some minor creasing but no writings/doodles.

·         Did not come with the polylined inner sleeves like UK pressings.

BEATLES FOR SALE

·         Made in Rhodesia in 1964 for the South African market

·         Textured labels are very good – some spindle marks on side 2.

·         Vinyl is good to very good

·         Matrix No.s XEX 503-1 & XEX504-1 with “MADE IN S RHODESIA” in the run out groove

·         The cover was produced by a local Rhodesian publisher who was a ‘registered user’ on behalf of EMI and is in very good condition for its age. A small piece missing in top right hand front cover and a name on the inside of the gatefold. A little worn around the seams.

·         Did not come with the polylined inner sleeves like UK pressings.

RUBBER SOUL

·         MONO - PMCJ 1267 on the original-style Parlophone label Silver & Black

·         Made in Rhodesia in 1965 for the South African market

·         Textured labels are good – some spindle marks on side 2.

·         Labels have the slightly raised inner rims – similar to those used for Decca & Pye contract pressings

·         Vinyl is very good.

·         Matrix No.s XEX 579-1 & XEX580 – so it must be the ‘Loud Cut’ version I guess.

·         The cover was produced by a local Rhodesian publisher who was a ‘registered user’ on behalf of EMI and is in very good condition for its age – just minor creasing to front. It is a double (not triple) flat flipback cover.

·         Did not come with the polylined inner sleeves like UK pressings.

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.

Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.

Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.

Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.

Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.

Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc

Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
