The BEATLES 45. USA Capitol White 1992 30th Anniversary reissue Promo of “Ringo Starr on drums” version of LOVE ME DO (original FIRST Single in UK from October 1962). Labels are White, common indicator of a Capitol Promo. Normal Capitol labels for 1992 were Purple. Love me do ‘62 (AW version) was finally issued on Purple Capitol CEMA Jukebox labels on both red (rare) and black vinyl. The first Capitol Love me do ‘63 was Green Swirl Starline from 1965. Then 1982 Yellow/Orange Swirl ‘63 version. Now this 1992 Love me do ‘62 (RS) on Capitol Purple. The first time Capitol USA issued the ‘62 (RS) version!! This 1992 Promo 45 Vinyl Condition is Goldmine EX. My highest grade. Fully shiny, likely unplayed, few marks, very clean and plays thru great. And labels are both super, clean, no wear. Capitol Love me do 1992 (see small print on back side) Picture Sleeve is also EX. BONUS: INCLUDED IS A POST CARD THANK YOU NOTE FROM CAPITOL RECORDS TO FANS (see photos 5-6) THAT CAME WITH THE PROMO 45!! The Picture Sleeves from 1982 and 1992 are very similar. The front sides looks the same except the ‘82 opening had a curved cut, and 1992 opening had a square cut!! The back side image from ‘82 has the 20 Greatest Hits album info on it, and the ‘92 back side has the “Introducing the Beatles” (reverse/mirror) photo on the back side!! Whew!! This listed item is a SUPER Collectable, the only US/Capitol issue of LOVE ME DO ‘62 (I call the Ringo Starr (RS) version “LOVE ME DO ‘62” because it first was issued on UK Single in October ‘62!! The Love me do ‘63 (Andy White version) was not released as a single till 1963, and also on the UK Please Please Me LP in March 1963). When Parlophone issued that UK PPM LP in March 1963, Love me do (Ringo) had been switched to the Andy White on drums version (a totally redone version). Both sides are MONO as are all the Capitol Beatles 45s until Get Back. And, There is no Stereo versions of either LOVE ME DO ‘62/‘63 or PS I LOVE YOU. Those tapes were lost or destroyed. Stereo did not become common on 45s till 1969! Request both my lists if interested, Top 100 Hard to Find Beatles Songs on 45 Singles Worldwide, or Beatles 150 Songs in Stereo on 45 Singles Worldwide, no charge. See photos, actual record.
