Description

The BEATLES 45 rpm vinyl record. Vinyl Condition is Goldmine VG+. My second highest grade. Great vinyl, both labels clean. No ink! Hi, in USA all the 25 common Beatles Capitol records Hold your hand thru The Long and Winding Road were reissued on Purple labels in 1978, plus a few added singles: Obladi, Helter Skelter, & Sgt Peppers, 28 confirmed total. I have all of them somewhere! I purchased them in my search for Stereo Beatles singles. Yet the only surprise was the ultra rare Stereo Slow Down/Matchbox!! There are 3 Purple USA Capitol label series. 1978, 1988, and Cema 1990s. Each has different indicators. This 1978 series is VERY hard to track down, in short supply compared to ‘88 Starline Series and 90s Cema Series. On 1978 Purple singles the “Capitol” logo is larger, printed closer to the center hole. The rim print starts with “Mfd. by Capitol” on all 28! Then the 1988 series has a smaller “Capitol” logo, about 1/4 inch from the center hole. And the rim print starts with “Manufactured by Capitol”, printed in full, not abbreviated. And most ‘88s have “Starline” printed at 10 o’clock on the labels, but not all. Almost the same 29 singles as the 1978 set. 4 different singles. Finally the Capitol CEMA set from ‘92-96: About 32 total records pressed, all on colored vinyl, and 3 on black vinyl also. About 22 of 32 were Beatles reissues, and another 10 or so were previous LP Beatles songs now issued on 45s in USA for the first time, like: Blackbird, It’s all too much, Hide your love away, Things we said today, Taxman, Lucy in the sky, Here comes the sun, etc. a great colorful set to own but getting more and more expensive! Red vinyl Lucy in the sky runs $75, Red vinyl Love me do runs $100, Green vinyl Norwegian wood runs $300, and Black vinyl Taxman runs $400!!! Ouch!!! Back to this one: 1978 press of PAPERBACK WRITER and RAIN. Both are MONO here. They are 2 common Beatles songs worldwide, easy to find. Request a copy of my Top 100 Hard to Find Beatles songs on 45 Singles Worldwide List, if interested. STEREO became common on 45s in 1969! Most Capitol reissues stayed Mono, but not all, many are in Stereo if you play test them!! To find these both in Stereo try Japan 1977 and UK RSD Special from 2010. Request my List of 150 Beatles Songs in Stereo on 45 Singles Worldwide, if interested. See photos, actual record. This one comes in Common white sleeve. I am a 50+ year Beatles collector. Item Shipped with USPS Media Mail, and Global Shipping Program. Multiple purchases all ship for $5 total. So browse for others! Best to all. Beatle Lew.
