THE BEATLES BEATLES '65 Original U.S. First Pressing of the Rare STEREO LP - still factory sealed!
I have collected Beatles records and memorabilia for 55 years, and have sold on Ebay for over 10 years (100% rating).
From my personal collection, this is a still sealed Capitol STEREO 2228 BEATLES '65 LP, first released December 15, 1964! It is estimated that only 10% of Capitol's LPs were manufactured in stereo prior to 1967 (the other 90% being mono), which would make this still sealed LP quite the rare find.
The seal is tight with two exceptions. There is a 2" split to the bottom center seam and the wrap has separated about 2.5" at the lower right corner (no damage to the corner). Otherwise, each corner is tightly sealed.There are two factory breathe holes on the back cover. An original price sticker ($3.49!) is affixed to the shrinkwrap. A blue inner sleeve is barely visible through the mouth opening, and there is the "Stereo Needle Damage" warning at the bottom of the back cover, which would be consistent with a first pressing! The spine is perfect.
