Description
Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

Very Rare MONO 6th Pressing!
This listing is for a very rare mono 6th press copy of the Beatles debut LP 'Please Please Me'. This copy features the small 'Mono' on the cover, and the label features the 'Sold in UK' statement and 'Gramophone' rimtext.
By the time this pressing came out everybody was buying Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, etc, so copies of their earlier records (especially Please Please Me) barely sold at all. Not only this, but by this time stereo was very fast becoming the standard and mono copies were becoming obsolete so hardly sold at all by this time. To find an original mono copy of such a late pressing is very difficult!

Title Please Please Me Year of Release 1966-1969 Catalogue Number PMC 1202 Label Yellow / Black Parlophone with 'Gramophone' rimtext and 'Sold in UK' statement Tax Code on Disc KT Sleeve Manufacturer Garrod and Lofthouse Side 1 Matrix Number XEX 421-1N Side 4 Matrix Number YEX 712-1 Side 1 Stampers 1 12 / RHM Side 2 Stampers 5 / GM Cover Condition The cover is in VG+ condition. The cover is holding up very nicely and looks respectible, but is showing its age a little with some light browning on the back and with some light disc impression and laminate wear on the front. Top seam has a touch of wear in the middle but no splits at all. Bottom seam is perfect. Spine is looking fine with fully legible text and just a few little creases running through it. Overall a nice example of this rare sleeve. Inner Sleeve Condition - Inserts Condition - Disc Condition(VISUALLY GRADED) The disc is in VG+/EX- condition. The disc has a really nice shine to it and is a little dusty (would do with a professional clean) but is looking really nice overall with just a little, light scuffing. Nice example! Label Condition The labels on both discs are in EX+/NM- condition. The labels look beautiful with no writing, tears, stickers etc and just a little, light spindlewear and just a touch of whitening around the centrehole. Nice labels!
All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.
