Description
After 20 years of collecting, the time has come for me to sell my Beatles collection and let other collectors appreciate some of the records and memorabilia I've accumilated over the years. Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

This auction is for a 1968/1969 pressing of the Beatles LP 'With the Beatles' on the Parlophone label. This press features the Gramophone rimtext and 'Sold in the UK' statement, and also the rare, transitional KJT taxcode on the disc.
This copy is unusual in that the 'Stereo' format on the front cover is very noticeably misaligned to where it should be. Usually, on the vast majority of covers I've seen with the small Stereo, it's right up near the top of the slick farther over to the right. However, on this cover it's much more centralised! When I hold the cover to my desk lamp the Stereo embossment is misaligned to the word Stereo, slightly off to the top right!
I don't know if this was intended and initially intentionally placed there before very quickly being moved to where it's usually seen, or if this was an error that was very quickly corrected. Whatever the reason, I've never seen another cover with the Stereo format so out of place on the front cover before!

The cover is holding up really nicely for its age with just a little light wear and tear. the front hasjust a little, light dirt buildup on the laminate and just a light hint of disc impression. There's some little creases in the laminate, mostly around the edges. Top and bottom seams are both holding tight with no wear or splitting. The spine is pinched top and bottom and has a few little laminate creases running through it, but is holding tight with no splits or tears and is fully legible. Back cover has yellowed everso slightly but is still looking very pale. The name 'Alan I. Lewis' has been rubberstamped onto the back. There's a few little dirt spots and the like but nothing at all distracting. Overflaps are sutck tight with a couple of little laminate creases in them. Overall, very nice cover! Disc (Visually Graded Only!!) : GOOD

On side 1 the disc has a nice shine and has some light scuffing all over but nothing serious or heavy. However, on side 2 it has the same light scuffing on the playing surface but there are two light but very noticeable scuffmarks, the more prominent of which I've photographed and shown above. This lsrger, more prominent scuff runs from the 3 o'clock position as shown and then arcs up, then goes diagonally up to the 12 o'clock position finishing in track 3. as I say, it's very noticeable but I can only just about feel a slight roughness if I run my fingernail gently over it. Whether or not it would affect play I can't say unfortunately. There's another lighter but also noticeable stuff at the 6 o'clock position that runs diagonally from the edge into the beginning of track 5. I can't feel this one under the fingernail.

The labels are clean with bright text. There's some light spindlewear and just a light touch of white around the centrehole. Very nice labels!.
