After 20 years of collecting, the time has come for me to sell my Beatles collection and let other collectors appreciate some of the records and memorabilia I've accumilated over the years. Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

This auction is for a rare, one-box EMI Parlophone stereo pressing of the Beatles LP 'A Hard Day's Night'
In 1969 Parlophone underwent two significant changes. Firstly, the 'Sold in the UK' statement was finally removed and then, very shortly afterwards, the whole label design was changed to what is known as the 'silver on black' layout. Initially, for the first 2 years, these labels only carried one EMI logo which was at the bottom. In 1971 a second was added to the top.
These 69-71 'one box' copies were not around for very long and because they were released at the time of Abbey Road, Let It Be and the groups' early solo work the original Parlophone albums, especially the early ones, only sold in tiny, tiny amounts! Today collectors are now realising just how hard to find these are!

The cover is looking really nice with just some light, minimal wear and tear. The front has a lovely, rich colour to it with a very light, near-white top bar. The laminate is clean and has just a few little spots of dirt buildup. Looks good!. There's some little laminate creases around the edges. The top and bottom seams are holding tight with no wear or splitting. The pinched spine has some little laminate creases running through it but hasn't worn or split and is fully legible. The back cover has yellowed slightly but has no real dirt or staining. There's a slight browning on the mouth edge and the overflaps look like they're a little dirty, but that's just nit picking really. Nice cover! Inner Sleeve : VG

The original red inner sleeve is included. It's yellowed a little, moreso than the photo is making out, but has minimal creasing and to tears in any of the seams. Holding tight. Disc (Visually Graded Only!!) : EX+

The playing surface has a beautiful shine to it and nothing more than just one or two very light, faint little scuffmarks. Great condition!!

The labels are clean, crisp and clear with bright silver text. There's just a very small, very faint amount of spindlewear and only a bare touch of whitening around the centrehole on side 1. Stunning labels!!!
