BEATLES Australian 10T H ANNIV DBL LP Rarest Issue 2KO

You are bidding on the following item.

This is an original Australian issue of the Beatles 2LP set “The Beatles Australian 10th Anniversary Souvenir Presentation Greatest Hits Volumes 1 & 2”. Cat No: Parlophone PCSS 7533/4 (1973). Okay so we all know about this Aussie only double record set. What makes this one the hardest version to find is that when the records were released EMI worked in conjunction with eight different major radio stations around the country to promote the set and hence the Beatles music. To recognize this campaign there were triangular stickers attached to the top left corner of the covers identifying the radio station involved in each of the major areas where the albums were sold. So obviously some of these will be more prevalent than others depending on how large an area or how far the company thought the radio station penetration into the market place extended. It has turned out over the years from talking to knowledgeable Beatle collectors that the 2KO (Newcastle, N.S.W.) regional variant is easily the hardest of all of these to locate. We know of at least two collectors that have searched for over a decade to find a copy to complete their set of this release. Look no further! The cover is strictly VG with visible sticker marks, ring wear and minor stains (SEE SCANS) but the 2KO STICKER IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH ONLY A SMALL CREASE AT ONE CORNER. Records are in VG+ condition.
