1) BIRTHDAY/TAXMAN (Capitol 17488 "FOR JUKEBOXES ONLY!" GREEN vinyl CEMA Special Markets 45, 1994): UNPLAYED MINT with one mark on B-side vinyl.  Although this is a "FOR JUKEBOXES ONLY" release, it will play on any 45RPM record player.  PLUS:

2) BIRTHDAY/ALL I WANT IS YOU (by UNDERGROUND SUNSHINE) (Intrepid 75002 1st pressing, 1969): M- gem with tiny spot of white-out on A-side (see 3rd photo).

Previously-unreleased 45!  The 1st colored vinyl single in a Beatles series of 29, in addition to solo releases by John, Paul, George, and Ringo.  Presented on brilliant GREEN vinyl with its jukebox title strip, in UNPLAYED MINT condition.  All the CEMA Special Markets "For Jukeboxes Only" 45s are escalating in price: 

The Capitol colored vinyl 45s are the rarest stock-copy Beatles singles ever released in the U.S.; there were between 10,000 and 20,000 copies pressed of each "FOR JUKEBOXES ONLY!" 45. This was a sign of the times; by the mid-nineties the era of the 45RPM record seemed to be over. Juke-jobbers, for whom the series was created, had already moved to CD jukeboxes. They didn't want the records, so Capitol sold them to chain stores and mail-order companies just to get rid of them. The rarity of the 30 colored vinyl Beatles 45s is impressive compared to the countless millions of '60s orange-and-yellow swirls and the immense flood of orange, blue, and purple-label reissues of the '70s and '80s.  The entire series includes eleven singles that had never before appeared as U.S. 45s (like this one!), and two others with alternate flip sides. It's been 19 years since Capitol released the last of these beautiful records, and rapidly-increasing values reflect their rarity.

We're adding 1969's bodacious bubblegum cover version by the pride of Montello, Wisconsin: Underground Sunshine, who scored an improbable #26 hit by capitalizing on The Beatles' refusal to release any 45s from the "White Album".
