Description
Beatles 3rd State Peeled Butcher Cover w/Trunk Slick
Please read entire description/auction terms prior to bidding on this item. Thank You
If you've been looking for a peeled Mono Butcher Cover that won't make you deplete your savings account, then this one might be for you. Low opening bid ! Although there are a few condition issues with this jacket, this presents better than most in this lower price range. Please see detailed condition below for specifics.
The peel is decent with a few touch ups here and there. This would still look just about as great as a much more costly example if properly framed and won't cause you to skip your mortgage to purchase. Please read the jacket description below for specific details on condition and more about this jacket.
This item will be safely and securely double boxed and shipped to you via Priority Mail. Please read complete description prior to bidding.
Condition:
Front of Jacket:
Front Peeled Butcher Slick, although not perfect, presents better than most peels on the market in this price range. Some touch up and typical age tanning to the cover and Capitol factory glue application lines (created during the application of the trunk cover) are visible but not too prominent. If professionally framed with the trunk slick, this would really present nearly as well as a much more expensive example.
Please see photos to verify specific condition and feel free to contact with questions.
Seams:
Both Top and Bottom seams appear to have been mostly split and have several inches of splitting on the left and right sides of the seams but this condition was remediated and re-adhered with archival hinging tape.
Due to this condition, a record should never be attempted to be forced into this jacket.
Spine:
Spine was mostly split and mended with hinging tape. As a result, some of the spine writing/paper is missing. (See Spine photos).
Back Of Jacket:
The back of the jacket is fair with some moderate tanning and a few light stains but nothing too out of the ordinary for a jacket that is nearly 60 years old. (see photo of back of jacket).
Trunk Slick:
Trunk Slick is included and as pictured and could be framed but shows some light wear and tear from the peeling process.
Record/Inner Sleeve:
Mono record included but appears to be in poor condition. Sorry, but NO inner sleeve included.
Terms Of Auction/Shipping:
Due to recent inflation and subsequent increases in actual USPS shipping costs, Buyer pays $29.99 for properly packed double boxed priority shipping with tracking. Shipping of such a high value, large package with significant weigh is costly and labor intensive and will likely be more that what is being charged here. Regardless, the cost to you will be capped at $29.99. Bidders with low feedback or new accounts must contact us prior to bidding on this item. Seller reserves the right to cancel bids at any time. Due to the exceptional cost and labor involved in shipping this item, this is being sold "AS IS" and there are No Returns on this purchase. Please review all photos and descriptions and please contact with questions prior to bidding. This item has been through a laborious process from the 2nd state to what you see here, and as such, the grading is unique on this item. This cannot be graded like a comic book or a baseball card due to the fact that this jacket has twice been altered from its original state, once by the paste over process at the Capitol Factory and likewise by the peeling process. Any minor imperfections are from either process. The photos speak for themselves and we do our best to accurately grade these historic artifacts.
Thank You !
