Beatles 3rd State Gorgeous Peeled PA #3 Butcher Cover
Please read entire description/auction terms prior to bidding on this item. Thank You
If you've been looking for a genuine and authentic higher grade 3rd State (peeled) Scranton PA #3 Mono Butcher Cover that includes the removed trunk slick in framable condition, this might be the one for you. This example boasts solid seams and spine and exceeds the quality of peel seen in recents sales in this price range. In fact, our prices are generally so reasonable that our Butcher Covers are frequently purchased and flipped right here at higher prices by known sellers. Please examine the photos and we're sure you will agree that this is a high quality peel. See last photo to see jacket prior to peeling process.
Although it is sad each week to see more and more recently amateurishly peeled covers go up for sale, the good news is that jackets such as this that present well are only increasing in value as more and more get destroyed by amateur peel attempts. TheButcherCover, on the other hand to these notable amateur efforts, have consistently and correctly peeled the most difficult examples from every Capitol manufacturing plant (#2,#3,#5,#6) for over 4 decades. These examples have been exhibited in books,TV Shows, youtube and many other notable outlets for decades.Their jackets are are not produced by a "Johnny Come Lately' with a tea kettle. Many of these folks buy our jackets that were peeled by TheButcherCover and flip them at a higher price. You have a choice, bid wisely and look around before buying.
Please read the jacket description below for specific details on condition.
While the market is currently getting flooded with overhyped/over-graded peels with large obvious large scars/damage/paper residue etc, the good news for buyers is that this is one is better than what is usually seen out there in this price range. But don't just take our word for it, look around and compare what you are buying for what price. Take a close look at the photos and please see below for specific condition description.
This item will be safely and securely double boxed and shipped to you via Priority Mail. Please read complete description prior to bidding.
Condition:
Front of Jacket:
Front Peeled Butcher Slick is stunning and presents nicely overall without any evidence of large scars or serious damage from the peeling process that is usually seen. Beautiful colors and presentation on this one. Capitol paste over factory horizontal glue brush lines are very light on this one.
Please see photos to verify specific condition and feel free to contact with questions.
Seams:
Top seam and bottom seams are complete. Believe it or not, this seam condition is fairly rare with these nearly 60 year old jackets (please see seam photos). To protect the integrity what remains of the seams, a record should never be placed or stored in this jacket.
Spine:
Spine writing is complete and legible. There is some minor checking and foxing on the spine but nothing too severe. (See Spine photo).
Back Of Jacket:
The back of the jacket displays some tanning and staining which is why we priced the opening bid below 2k (see photo of back of jacket). A similar quality peel with a cleaner back recently sold for over 3k ! (see completed auctions).
Trunk Slick:
Removed trunk slick is included with in framable condition without big rips or tears as usually seen in the amateur peels. There is some very faint remnants of ink writing in the top left corner. (See photo of removed trunk slick).
Record/Inner Sleeve:
Comes complete with East Coast mono pressing in G visual condition by Goldmine standards. VG labels. Tons of scratches but plays surprisingly well without skips or overpowering background noise. A few lick tics and clicks here and there.Goldenrod 1966 East Coast inner sleeve included in this auction in fair condition (a few typical seam splits and some clear tape on seams as well).
Terms Of Auction/Shipping:
Due to recent inflation and subsequent increases in actual USPS shipping costs, Buyer pays $29.99 for properly packed double boxed priority shipping with tracking. Shipping of such a high value, large package with significant weigh is costly and labor intensive and will likely be more that what is being charged here. Regardless, the cost to you will be capped at $29.99. Bidders with low feedback or new accounts must contact us prior to bidding on this item. Seller reserves the right to cancel bids at any time. Due to the exceptional cost and labor involved in shipping this item, this is being sold "AS IS" and there are No Returns on this purchase. Please review all photos and descriptions and please contact with questions prior to bidding. This item has been through a laborious process from the 2nd state to what you see here, and as such, the grading is unique on this item. This cannot be graded like a comic book or a baseball card due to the fact that this jacket has twice been altered from its original state, once by the paste over process at the Capitol Factory and likewise by the peeling process. Any minor imperfections are from either process. The photos speak for themselves and we do our best to accurately grade these historic artifacts.
T-Shirt Seen in Background on first few photos is NOT INCLUDED.
Thank You !
