Description
The Beatles Butcher Cover 3rd State Peeled Los Angeles #6 Cover
Genuine and authentic 3rd State (peeled)1966 LA #6 Mono Butcher Cover.
Many collectors consider this album the "holy grail" of their record collection. These particular jackets are hard to source in this price range that don't look horrible.
Keep in mind that these Los Angeles #6 Butcher Covers, in particular, are way harder to peel and cannot be steamed off. Most have been ruined by amateur attempts at peeling.
This Butcher Cover presents better than most you see in this price range.
These #6 jackets are much harder to come by in such displayable condition.
Please read the jacket description below for specific details on condition.
Most LA designated 2nd state trunk covers were adhered for Capitol Records by the Modern Album Company during the paste over process with a difficult to remove adhesive. These cannot be "steamed" off. For every nice one that exists, there are probably a thousand bad to mediocre peels. Most of the severely damaged 3rd state covers you see on the internet for sale are improperly peeled LA Jackets. Look around and compare. While this may not be for the ultra picky buyer, it also won't set you back.
Front Peeled Butcher Slick on this harder to peel #6 Los Angeles jacket presents nicely with a few minor abrasions here and there. There does appear to be any touchups. This still would look great framed !
The item shown is exact item that you will receive and is a decent example of a west coast peel.
Front Cover shows a very good peel. There are minimal pieces of the original cover that have been removed.
Back Cover is clear of writing and marks.
The top and bottom seams appear to have been expertly repaired. They look great and do not show any opening.
LP Comes with West Coast mono pressing in VG or better condition. It plays well.
Capitol 1966 Goldenrod West Coast inner sleeve is decent with a small rip at bottom. Sides seem unsplit and intact.
